Project Engineer at ZeroNorth
As a Project Engineer at ZeroNorth, you will be the primary architect of operational execution, ensuring that complex maritime service attendances are delivered on time, within scope, and under budget. You will function as a pivotal link between technical requirements and commercial outcomes, managing the delicate balance of high-stakes stakeholder interests with the logistical realities of global shipping.
Key responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end supply chain management for marine equipment, ensuring timely mobilization, cost efficiency, and compliance with technical specifications.
Manage technical procurement lifecycle (RFQs, vendor evaluation, sourcing, and delivery) to ensure quality and operational alignment.
Conduct technical assessments of vessel operations and equipment to identify procurement risks and optimization opportunities.
Coordinate procurement, inspection, logistics, and final delivery in line with project timelines and technical standards.
Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, classification standards, and technical requirements.
Monitor supply chain performance, track KPIs, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement, vendor performance, and technical constraints.
Drive cross-functional collaboration across technical, procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
Manage vendor relationships and stakeholder coordination, including vessel managers, agents, and forwarders.
Oversee material coordination and documentation to support efficient supply chain operations.
Implement cost control measures, validate invoices, and conduct cost analysis to drive financial optimization and budget adherence.
Your profile:
BE/B.Tech in Marine Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Equivalent Branches.
Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in logistics and supply chain coordination.
Working knowledge of shipping documentation, procedures, and international trade regulations.
Knowledge of various modes of marine transportation, warehousing practices, and inventory management.
Understanding of port operations, vessel scheduling, and freight forwarding.
Understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
Strong written and verbal communication, including documentation standards for logistics and shipping.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address logistics challenges and optimize supply chain efficiency.
