(Senior) Business Development Representative at ZeroNorth
We are looking for Business Development Representatives and Senior Business Development Representative, which will play a central role in fueling ZeroNorths growth ambitions.
There are three main reasons why you should be excited about this role:
Impact: You will directly influence the company’s trajectory by identifying opportunities and turning these into qualified pipelines, actively helping the global shipping industry decarbonise.
Career acceleration: You will work in close tandem with our Account Executives. This role provides a strong platform to step into future commercial roles, e.g., in sales, customer success, commercial excellence or similar.
Autonomy: You are not stepping into a maintenance role; you are part of building the engine. Depending on your seniority level, you will be expected to contribute not just to creating pipeline, but also to help shape the entire architecture of how we generate leads.
Key Responsibilities
This is a direct business role with a mandate to reach targets across both new logos and our existing customer base.
Pipeline development: Drive top-of-funnel activity for both new logos and existing customers. You will diagnose opportunities and convert them into qualified pipeline.
Operational execution: Bridge the gap between data insights and commercial action to support acquisition and expansion strategies.
Cross-functional collaboration: Act as the link between Customer Success, Account Executives, and Marketing to identify and qualify business opportunities.
Customer targeting: Work with Account Executives and Customer Success to determine the target customers as well as the individual customer approach strategy within the markets you cover.
Data & AI integration: Use internal data and AI insights to prioritize outreach and maximize conversion rates.
Lead generation architecture: You will play an active part in shaping the lead generation function at ZeroNorth. For senior candidates, this includes the opportunity to shape how we build processes across the entire funnel - from identification and outreach to conversion.
Your Profile
You have a background in commercially driven environments where complex problem solving and clear communication are required.
Commercial toolkit: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to quickly understand complex commercial setups and value drivers.
Execution Mindset: You focus on implementation and are motivated by reaching clearly defined commercial targets.
Analytical rigor: You are comfortable with quantitative analysis and use data to identify opportunities and define success criteria.
Stakeholder Management: You can navigate high-level discussions with senior leadership and drive execution with front-line teams.
Experience: Relevant experience within commercial roles (e.g., Sales or Business Development) within a fast-paced company will be a plus. Candidates with more experience will be considered for Senior Business Development roles.
