Sales Development Associate at ZeroNorth
This role offers the chance to see the immediate impact of your work by owning the expansion pipeline within our existing customer base.
At ZeroNorth, commercial growth is directly linked to environmental impact, so by turning latent opportunities into qualified pipeline, you are actively helping global shipping decarbonise.
You won’t just inherit a process here; you will have the autonomy to build and optimize the lead generation engine yourself.
This high-visibility position in our fast-paced scale-up provides essential Enterprise SaaS experience and C-level exposure, acting as a direct fast-track to future senior commercial roles.
Key responsibilities
This is a direct business role with a mandate to reach clearly defined targets. You will shape the operational execution of our expansion strategy, bridging the gap between data insights and commercial action.
Analyze the existing customer portfolio to diagnose latent opportunities and turn them into qualified expansion pipeline.
Take ownership of clearly defined expansion targets, ensuring consistent performance and growth.
Design and implement the internal standard for lead identification and qualification within existing accounts.
Act as the operational link between Customer Success and Account Executives to surface and qualify upsell opportunities.
Connect Growth and Operations functions, ensuring seamless collaboration across the commercial organisation.
Leverage internal data and AI insights to prioritize outreach and maximize conversion rates.
Coach and mentor a SDR, fostering their development and ensuring team progression.
Continuously refine workflows to increase efficiency in the lead generation engine.
Your profile
You possess a background in commercially driven environments with strong communication skills and sales acumen.
2–4+ years in Sales, Business Development, or Management Consulting, ideally within Enterprise SaaS or the maritime industry.
Strong business instinct with the ability to quickly understand complex commercial setups and value drivers.
You thrive in a high-performance culture and are motivated by reaching and exceeding clear commercial targets.
Comfortable with data analytics and eager to use AI/data insights to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
Ability to navigate high-level discussions with senior leadership as effectively as operational talks with front-line teams.
Skilled at collaborating across departments (CS, Sales, Ops) to drive a unified commercial approach.
A desire to mentor junior colleagues and take on increasing responsibility within the team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating ROI and value propositions clearly.
