What does it mean to be a Head of Tax & Treasury at ZeroNorth?

As the Head of Tax and Treasury at ZeroNorth, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all tax-related matters across our global group, as well as spearheading our treasury functions. This dynamic role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in taxation, financial management, and compliance. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity for the Head of Tax and Treasury to be a pioneer within our organization. You will have the autonomy and support to build tax and treasury processes and strategies, helping to shape the direction of our financial operations.

The role is based in Copenhagen

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns for all entities within the group.

• Manage relationships with external tax advisors, ensuring their support in compliance efforts.

• Lead transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transaction compliance.
  
  

Global Tax Strategy:

• Develop and execute a global tax strategy that aligns with our business objectives and ensures compliance with international tax regulations.

• Oversee tax planning, optimisation, and risk management strategies in all jurisdictions where we operate.

• Continuously monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, adapting our strategies accordingly.
  
  

Treasury Functions:

• Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimising FX and borrowing decisions.

• Financing: Negotiate credit facility agreements with lenders.

• Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets.

• Oversee banking relationships and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  
  

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate tax and treasury-related risks, implementing strategies to protect the company's financial stability.

• Develop and maintain robust internal controls related to tax and treasury activities.
  
  

Reporting and Analysis:

• Provide insightful financial and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure tax and treasury strategies align with overall business goals.

• Support mergers and acquisitions by conducting due diligence and integration of tax and treasury tasks and functions.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA, CTA, ACCA or similar certification preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in tax and treasury management roles.

• Extensive knowledge of international tax laws and regulations.

• Strong financial analysis and strategic planning skills.

• Experience in managing cash flow, investments, and banking relationships.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global, and collaborative environment.
