What does it mean to be a Financial Accountant at ZeroNorth?

The role of the Financial Accountant is centred around supporting implementation of end to end accounting systems along with accounting policies and processes. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for delivering accurate accounting records and balance sheet reconciliations as well as play a key role during month end closing.


Who are we looking for?

We imagine that you have a min. of 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role. We are looking for someone who is disciplined, capable of operating in a fast-moving business environment and passionate about supporting implementation of harmonised and effective accounting processes and procedures. The role is ideal for someone who gives attention to details, is process-oriented, has good accounting knowledge and ability to work independently. English fluency - both written and spoken is needed too.

Additionally, as our new Financial Accountant you will be involved in a number of key activities. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Perform daily bookkeeping and related tasks such as booking accruals and provisions, updating fixed asset schedules, running depreciation and amortization, and bank related entries.

• Supports accounts payable activities where needed - perform bookings or checks of AP/T&E items and Bank reconciliations.

• Control of payments to vendors/from customers and participate in cash flow forecast preparation and analysis where necessary.

• Perform monthly reconciliations of resp. Balance Sheet accounts and follow up on outstanding items.

• Delivers accurate and timely period end accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant internal controls and policies, as well as local and group accounting standards.

• Issuing and sending sales invoices in our billing systems. Proactively propose and implement checks to avoid mismatches.

• Monitoring and verifying the correctness of subscription agreements and orders in our customer relationship system (Salesforce) and/or in our ZeroNorth platform as well as ensuring reconciliation of Salesforce/ZN Platform data to ERP Invoiced Data.

• Perform monthly revenue recognition process and reconciliations of deferred revenue accounts.

• Responsible for booking of incoming payments and bank accounts reconciliation.

• Collaborating with customers on outstanding balances and billing related requests.

• Supports the calculations and booking of Bad debt provision as well as drives customers’ collections.

• Play a key role in the month-end close and reporting process - closing preparation, accounts reconciliation (FA, Customers, Accruals,Provisions, Deferred revenue etc.), integrity checks, IC reconciliation, support transfer pricing recharges, etc.

• Prepares monthly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports in accordance with close and other timetables of the entities.

• Facilitates audits by providing the requested records and documentation to auditors.

• Establish reliable internal accounting controls across the organization as well as play a major role in accounting systems implementations as well as process and procedures creation/enhancements. Pro-actively offering optimizations of the processes and internal controls to ensure compliance.

• Supports the integration of new entities into Zeronorth.

• Play a pivotal role in ZeroNorth accounting systems implementation - Accounting ERP, Expense and Travel Management - supporting building of the systems; fully engage with testing and implementation; control post-go live activities and outcomes, propose further enhancements.

• Preserves, shares and transfers knowledge to other team members.
