What does it mean to be a Data Engineer for Customer Engineering at ZeroNorth?
As a Data Engineer you will join a newly created team aimed for building up customer engineering. The ambitions are high and the pace is fast. As a customer engineering team we are involved with almost everything that is happening at ZeroNorth. We are responsible for the technical onboarding of customers onto the ZeroNorth platform, and will also be responsible for ZeroNorth’s own API offerings spanning across the platform. As a data engineer you are responsible for the foundation of our customer oriented data stack, making sure everything is secure and running smoothly. Also, you will be involved in developing new services, and tools that help the team.
You will be joining a team that consists of software engineers and data engineers all working to enable the whole technical customer domain. We are cloud native on AWS and the core products of ZeroNorth are inherently driven by big data and advanced algorithms. Data is at the centre of ZeroNorth.
AWS, Dynamic programming, Spark, Snowflake, Great Expectations, Airflow, DBT are just examples of the technologies we work on, but we are not locked in and strive to use the best tool for the job. High ceilings and minimal lean processes helps us to always challenge ourselves and change the status quo.
In this role you will:
Build ETL pipelines that bring customer data (ranging from .csv files to GraphQL) through validation, quality checks and ultimately presents itself in both our analytical and transactional layer.
Setup proper structures to support a high inflow of customer data and enable your colleagues to better monitor, analyse and understand the data in all stages.
Enable not just onboarding but also customer-oriented services across the company, building internal tooling and automation aimed towards even better customer experiences.
Setup infrastructure and pipelines to support outbound data, specifically customer-facing APIs.
Who are you?
We are looking for candidates with academic and practical experience in data engineering and data platforms.
You have a solid background working with high performance data environments with a CI/CD mindset and have minimum 5+ years experience within transactional and analytical technology stacks, such as analytics platforms and data warehouses. You have experience in building and maintaining data pipelines with a strong focus on data quality and consistency.
We expect that you have an eye on details and super focused on structural effects that might be rising or caused by wrongful behaviours. As part of creating best practices and guidelines it’s expected that this is also preached and communicated effectively across the organisation.
Essentially you love creating the best data setups in the world that sets the standards and you love to show it.
As a minimum you have a B.Sc. or equivalent experience.
It’s important that you are fluent in both oral and written English, as this is the language we use.
