The Technology Program Director supports the development teams to ensure products are delivered efficiently, effectively, and with high quality. They do this via hands-on program management, but also by implementing and continually improving the processes and systems used by the development teams.
The key activities of the Technology Program Director are:
Help drive the maturity of overall technology and engineering operation.
Manage technology program roadmap, including technology improvement initiatives and projects.
Support the development teams with release planning (including test planning) and on-going release monitoring and re-planning.
Remove any hurdles slowing down the development teams and generally help the teams to be successful.
Process and Data Leadership
Provide continuous improvement through analysis, process improvement, metrics reporting and program maturity tracking.
Define, rollout, and continually improve the processes used by the development teams.
Continually analyse data to optimise product delivery (time, cost, scope, quality, risk).
Ensure process compliance.
Report program status to executives, as well as deep-dive into technical discussions with cross-functional teams and external partners
Generate both high-level and detailed reports for project stakeholders spanning business and technical teams
Track and coordinate team organisation charts and hiring pipeline
You will report directly to our CTO as an individual contributor, but work very closely with our VPs of Engineering and Lead Engineers on a daily basis.
You must love and be able to manage in an international environment. Being motivated by, and yourself setting, very ambitious goals - and exceeding them.
We imagine that you have a theoretical background with a Master’s in Computer Science, Business or similar, and you have a strong professional background working with software development and fast-growth SaaS solutions.
You have a broad professional skill-set; the essential skills and experiences are:
Project Management. Successfully led several development projects, where you have been fully accountable for the outcome of the projects. You have excellent hands-on experience working in agile environments, ideally having worked as a Scrum Master or Product Owner.
Software Engineering. Deep and broad knowledge of all aspects of software engineering.
Technical. Solid technical skills. You won’t be writing code, but you must be able to participate confidently in technical discussions, easily understand technical issues, and be able to identify technical risks.
